Following the success of The Late Show in 2017, the organisers decided to continue the beautifully scented party swinging this year till 4am.
Regulatory restrictions prohibit late-night music outdoors, so the organisers are taking the entertainment indoors by building a pop-up nightclub capable of housing 4,000 at Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre, complete with full service and VIP areas, a concert-style stage, state-of-the-art sound and light system, and ambient scenting.
The Late Show is the official Afterparty that delivers pumped-up performances over a myriad of genres outside jazz.
Ferry Corsten has been a stalwart in the dance music scene, with work dating back to the 1990s under various guises. His mix of progressive house and trance has made him one of the most loved producers in the genre. Ferry has had a long relationship with Singapore, with his earliest performances here dating back to 2005, with the Dutch producer returning often to perform.
Grammy Award nominee, four-time International Dance Music Award winner and four time DJ Mag award winner, the legendary SASHA is a man who needs no introduction. The best DJs know that Djing is first about being able to read people and then about being able to tap into that human experience and take it on a journey. Sasha has always been noted for being a master at this.
Scent diffusion systems
Equal Strategy, the only scent marketing and music styling consultancy in Asia whose work is based on scientific behavioural research and applied in a brand content, will be installing a range of ambient scent diffusion systems throughout the pop-up nightclub, and will fill the environment with refreshing bergamot and mandarin top notes, and to continue the jazz theme; white rose, cedarwood, amber, musk and vanilla.
With Sashing and Ferry involved, Friday at Late Show at this year’s Sing Jazz Festival is guaranteed to be one big party in itself!
